Baked Parmigiana Meatballs

Quick, easy and cheesy Italian style baked meatballs!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 500g pre prepared beef and pork meatballs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 490g jar Chicken Tonight Chicken Parmigiana Sauce
  • ½ cup loosely packed fresh basil leaves, plus extra, for garnish
  • 1 cup grated 4 cheese blend

Method

STEP 1
Heat oil in an overproof frypan over high heat. Add meatballs and sear until browned all over. Remove and set aside.
STEP 2
Add onion and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add Chicken Tonight Sauce and meatballs and bring to the boil. Simmer for 2-3 minutes before stirring through basil.
STEP 3
Remove from heat, sprinkle over cheese and place in a preheated oven at 200°C for 5-7 minutes or until cheese has melted and starting to brown. Remove from heat and serve immediately garnished extra with torn basil leaves.
Tips
Serve over cooked spaghetti for a substantial family meal.
